Thinking about the STI

What do u guys think of an brand new 05 STI for 35 grand. The reason is because i am still debating weather to keep my rex and build it up, or just trade it in for the STI and pay a bit more. To be exact, my monthly payment would double and my insurance would go up by another 70 bucks.

Please let me know, because i want to get the most out of my money.

what do yo uwant to do? if your payments will double, you can also think of that $$$ as mod funds. do you think you'll leave the STi untouched? if not, keep the wrx and make it your own.

If you have the money for the STi, then get it. You will be happy in the long run. You can save up penny by penny to mod, because with the STi you won't feel the need to mod as quickly as the WRX. You get so much more in the STi. Actually I would sell the WRX and get a used STi because I think they are a better buy. Either way, go STi if you can afford it. Just my two cents.

Yeah definately if you can afford it go with the STI. I'm really wishing I would have just got the STI right away. Now I'm having a hell of a time trying to get rid of my car to get the STI. Hands down it's way better then the regular WRX in every way. They even started putting in the stereo's for the 05's as a standard feature instead of an option. Think hard but I think it's a pretty easy decision (if you can afford it).

Ditto

The gold wheels look much better than the silvers with the black in person. Good choice. If u do get it, next time im down in the PDX area you gotta take me for a ride, i've never ridden in an STi

Also, what dealership are you going through? Royal Moore, there is a guy there named Dave, and I swear to god you will never ever ever get a better deal on your car than if you went with this guy. Nicest person I've ever met, totally not a salesman. Carr subaru is full of dickheads, and Dick Hannah isn't called Dick Handjob for no reason

STI has ugly head lights and tail lights. I like the round head lights. You might as well buy a normal wrx and get the sti conversion that Fourstar motorsports offers. it may not have as much horsepower but it has much more character.

I would like to argue that point, I've had an 03 and an 04, and I think the looks on the new ones are much more aggressive and quite attractive. However, I would aggree that there is much less character.

I think the circle head lights give the whole car a more aggressive look and i like the bumper and the flood lights are the older cars.

Yo tescrex, I don't know where Royal Moore is at, but so far i have been at the Gresham Nissan Subaru and there are a few STI's being shipped to the dealership. They will call me when they arrive. But if the Royal Moore is not too far away then i should check that place out too.

Also PDX downtown is only a good place to drive through if u have a loud BOV. But if u wanna test the STI, you gotta go to the more rural area.

As far as the pictures are concerned, I need to buy a new Digital Camera with at least 4 mega pixles cause some of my relatives got a hold of mine. DAMN pricks... I need to start using my .50 DE
