Exclamation Which Subaru should I get??

Im 15, and i will be purchasing a first car for myself. I am interested in three different ones: an 08 wrx hatch with an automatic tranny, an 09 wrx sedan, and a brand new 2011 wrx sedan. Now, i know that youre thinking "dude definetly dont get the automatic" but remember that this is going to be a first car for me. i really dont know how big a deal driving a stick shift is, so convince me. I have put a downpayment on the 2011, but nothing is for sure yet. Which way do you guys think i should go? i dont want to buy a car that im gonna regret having because its too slow(08 automatic) but i dont want to buy a hard to drive car that i will kill myself in thats super fast for a teen (09 and '11). Yes i do have my drivers liscense so i will be driving these cars right away. Hope you guys can help me out.

You are 15??? How the **** do you have the money for a brand new 2011 WRX?! Good for you man ha but I wish I had your kind of money. I have an automatic, its fun still and obviously easy to drive, but if I had the option, it would for sure be a 2011. No matter which one you get, you will for sure have enough power considering it is your first car. Chances are you will want more eventually, but any year wrx will just fine when you are just starting out. Good luck with your decision!

standard is easy it might take a week or two to get used to it then it's a cakewalk. way more fun as well. have fun
and wrx's aren't crazy power or anything so i wouldn't really worry about that.

I went from a Chevy Blazer to WRX and I thought it was the fastest car in the world, but then after getting used to I needed more, but hey man use that acting money well and go with a nice fast first car (2011). I am very jealous!

well guys i am the proud owner of a 2011 subaru wrx! i have the very first one in the entire northwest! now, another cool thing was that it was right off the truck, still had plastics and everything. does that make the car more rare?

Not to be mean or anything, but you really should have waited and bought a beater for your first car. I didnt really know all the ins and outs til around 18. But that being said, having a brand new WRX for your first car is AWESOME!

Agreed, beater Subaru for your 1st car. After you dent the crap out of that car, you'll be ready for a good car.

Congrats on getting a new first car. I agree with 909, manual is not that hard to learn. Might be easier to learn on a non-turbo car, but once you get it down.... no problems.
PS - Vew: My first car... beater subaru.. 1980 somthing GL wagon with a 4 speed manual and a lever you coudl pull up for 4-wheel drive!

Garage
My Son's 2 but I tell you I would love to find that 04 WRX I used to have an offer it to him on his 16th birthday. Course, it'd be 20 years old at that point and no doubt had it's rusted out steel scrapped, but it's still a cool mental image I want to hang onto.
