So I bought a STi ...but for how much ?

So I bought a 05 STi today . Its WRB with gold BBS wheels its all stock and has 64k on it . It really has not been vey well taken care of (cosmecticaly ) but the mechanics seem great. I just could not pass it up for the price. So what would be a good deal on this car 18k ? 16k? yes those prices would be great .Would you believe that i got this car for 12,600 no im not lying. The car runs and drives great its needs tire bad and some keyed the drivers doors , but other than that it seems fine . I guess i will be selling my 02 or maybe he STi and making some profit I realy dont know yet . I will post some pics later .

there is something seriously wrong with the car for it to be that cheap. must have been an idiot selling it, or it's stolen, or has some serious hidden issue. stolen? water damage? fire damage? what does carfax say?

12,600 is really cheap....it would definitely make me suspicious. Where did you buy it from?

if it's a salvage title with a lot of problems (even if they're just cosmentic), that's about right.

Its not a salvage or a rebuilt title ...It was a one owner car with all paperwork and a clean carfax . It was a young guys car who was in school and his dad sold it to me. It was in the paper and i almost didnt call about because i thought it was a type-o ..but i did call i was the first person to call about it and i bought with out hesitation ...hell i can part it out and make money on it . I have been driving it for 2 days and it drives great . I did park it today because i had a blowout on those bad tires so I need to order some . I dont know why he sold so cheap and I really dont care at this point. I think his son had done something wrong cause he insist on me making the check in his name. Even if the car burst in to flames tonight and burnt to the ground its insured for 25k .The cosmectics problems of it are very minor maybe $500 dollars worth of stuff plus i work at a body shop part time so it really isnt anything .

Yeah i have the title and everything has been transfered at the clerks office legally. Its all legit.... and yes i will post pics and update soon. I also was very unaware of how much different the STi was i mean its a totally different beast than the WRX.

That is awful cheap, I paid 17k for my 04 WRX with 72 thou. miles. Then the clutch went out Congrats on the STI, I would love to have one myself, but I got another year on my loan for the one I have. I bet dad was a co-signer and son started missing payments, that may be all that's left on the loan and he just wanted to get out from underneath it.

Whatever the reason, good job you lucky SOB!!! You basically bought a $22k+ STi for the price that most WRXs are sold at....
