I would love to go a bit wider, but I don't think they would fit. I'm 90% sure it was rubbing on the inside. I think it happened because of some "spirited" driving lol. I was able to find an old empty parking lot to fool around in, and I think I powerslid over a drain or a manhole cover >_< that plus 2 hours back home at ~75 with some serious tire wobble tore a 1/4 inch strip off of the tread on the highway. I've never had a tire loose its tread before, slightly terrifying lol

Riot, that's what I thought was wrong when it was shaking itself silly lol. Up until the tread blowout that is haha

the RIOT act 06-18-2013 05:24 PM

Yeah the shaking was the belts seperating and allowing a tumor to grow on your tire lol! An alignment wouldn't cause a shake though...just for future reference. The tread being completely worn on one side on a (stock suspension setup?) is a sign it needed an alignment. The big oval shaped part is where the tumor was, but besides that the problem started with the excessive shoulder wear.

That a front or rear tire??

It was the front drivers side, the car was lowered on stock struts (I know I know, bad idea) it did look like it was rubbing on the inside of the wheel well.

Also,Can I replace just 2 tires on the car without destroying it? I know they all have to be the same size or else bad things happen, but if I stay with the same 225/45/17 should I be ok?
Thanks
