snow....in houston!?

now its snowed once or twice, but not really enough to stick or rather it would not snow for very long, but for some reason today its just been going st00pid and snowing all day. usually houston is a humid hot place that will give you swamp a$$ once you step outside but today thats not the case. kinda wish it would lay down thicker so i could go have some awd fun.

btw...just bought my monster intercooler + Y pipe. 12W-22.5L-4" thick. all for $160

I want to know how that intercooler fits, and how much of a PITA it is to put in. Also be mindful if you ever change your BPV/BOV get rid of your sotck IC splitter or you will be doing some major damage to both it and your BPV (speaking from experience).

how would the stock splitter affect the bpv/bov?

If I remember correctly. The Perrin BPV was hitting his IC splitter.

ahh ic. well ill be getting a tubo xs 50/50 bpv as well as a zerosport splitter, and by the way, exactly what is the power loss of putting a larger intercooler on and running it without a tune for a bit?

Idk if there is power loss or not really. But again, that IC and BOV are both bigger than stock, and Im not sure of the dimensions of the Zerosport splitter. Just be mindful the first time you close your hood.

yea after i install it ima slowly close the hood and check for clearance. if it doesnt sit well im either gona shave the duct so it will sit right or just take it out all together...i just hope the intercooler doesnt rub into the a/c lines

Your boost will decrease a little (maybe .5 - 1 psi) Depending on brand and size.

Its all hearsay. My boost was 22.5 most of the time on a 20 psi map. But, it didn't feel that much worse for wear. I'm sure the numbers took a slight hit, but hardly. My throttle responce increased though. So, I hardly noticed if the end result wasn't exactly the same. Obviously the tune to get full advantage of the new TMIC. Was a huge increase in TQ and a slight bump up on HP. The VF39 and not having injectors really makes the power taper off a lot on the high end. Oh well, It's only a matter of time until I fix that. LOL

Yeah, take pics of the new drop and show us the old height difference. Plus, I hope your TMIC doesn't rub the A/C lines. Its a lot easier to pull the old TMIC out, than it is to put the new Bigger TMIC in. LOL. Just get creative and I'm sure you'll get it on.

if it does rub at all, ill just buy some rubber tubing. splice it in half and then cut it in portions and wrap it over the a/c lines. maybe that could help. but yea ill be sure to post some pics. the weather has been super crapy lately. so i guess when the rain stops ill do a quick wash and wax and take some sexual pics back at the parking garage where i first took pics of my car last year.

Paul: I'm just saying the results may vary. My AP was reading higher than normal. The same thing applys to my factory boost gauge.

Keshav: I'm still wondering if they're sending you a FMIC. Eh, Good luck. I hope it goes on without issues.
