Reason #263 I've slowly withdrew from the modding community

Female friends posts how she's excited she's getting a WRX. Ends with some dude baiting from the beginning to start an argument so he can talk about how big his car ego is.

You guys are pretty much my only tie to the online modding community these days.

WOW! Someone should tell that guy that he should shut his mouth because stupid is coming out. Love step brothers fol! That's really sad and possibly a little jealousy going on.

I had to stop posting. I knew it would turn into another stupid argument that would leave us both dumber.

Yeah, that pissing match stuff really bothers me. With enough money, you can make almost any car faster than almost any other car.

I've had almost as many turbo dsm's as I have fingers.
205-210 hp off the floor wasn't impressing me anymore, nor were the candy glass trannys.

Would I buy another..maybe just to flip for extra cash. They just don't have the goods anymore since technology got better.

I've never had a better winter car than my subarus.

Street racing has no appeal for me. Neither does drag racing. Subarus will always appeal to someone who does his homework and researches what they're buying rather than what it looks like or what it sounds like. The stat sheet on a Subaru in a cold weather climate is hard to beat for anywhere near the price.

I don't like the attitude, the teenagers, and the skin-deep flash that often comes with our community. I agree, sometimes I feel like I'm getting old. Then again, every meet I go to the crowd seems to be aging with me. We're all folks who played Gran Tourismo 2 or 3 I would wager. Do I cringe when a kid asks me about "how many boost" I'm running? Yes.

Am I forced to embrace a ricer culture because I want to drive my kid to school in the snow while enjoying a manual transmission and a car that can get out of it's own way? How many 4-door reliable AWD manual transmission cars make similar power for less? Yeah, I can't think of any either. If that makes me a ricer, god help us all.
