Yeah I read that. Dont know though, the RX-8 was pretty good as well. Close call I would say.

I have driven them both. They are both sweet cars no doubt about it. The RX8 is more of a luxury car for the business man in my opinion. It is nice seeing that needle go all the way up to 9000 RPM's and having the 6 speed rotary shaped shifter in your hand also. But the RX8 lacks power, a lot of it. When the mazdaspeed RX8 comes out I would love to drive that and see how that feels. But if you want performance, go with the STi hands down. But looks wise with some performance, I LOVEEEEE the red and black leather interior of the RX8

It doesnt lack power, it lacks torque. IMO anyways.

True, to get the actual power/torque out of it tho, you basically have to spin the tires off the line to get going. Or thats what I think R&T said.

How about the fact that the RX-8 (of course imho) looks like a pile of crap? The lines that go on forever? A car the size of a sedan that tries to pull of a coupe look with some suicide doors? How about that wonderful black plastic on the back, that'll look great in five years. Not only that, but over the top refrences to rotary power (yea we get it). It tries to look like a riced out viper, but it doesnt have 500 odd horsepower, it doesnt even have half of that. Screw the RX-8, gimmie a RX-7.

Yea, it will be interesting to see how well the Mazdaspeed RX-8 will perform seeing how it will be turbo charged and all. Not RX-7 but at least the apex seals wont get screwed up every week.
