Are you serious? That's yours? That's the most beautiful picture of a Subaru I've ever seen.

yep its mine
Photography is a hobby of mine, that helps a bit aha.
its a High Dynamic Range picture, meaning it is 3 of the same picture at different exposure levels (dark, normal, bright), then all merged to make it look like that.
it makes it so u can get all the darks and all the lights in the one picture without having an over and under exposure.

I took photography, apparently my teacher sucked. Send that into a magazine, it'll published. You deserve credit, That's very good.

That is awesome!!! Why is it awesome?
1) It's the color/options I want
2) The scenery is amazing
3) The effects are awesome...
I hope you don't mind that I steal this picture for my desktop pic lol...I love it!

Oh and it reminds me of these other high quality shots someone else took that I think I just found from searching google...it was the STi w/WRB and gold rims and it was by construction equipment...lol weird combo but they were awesome shots too...

You photographers do some crazy things, I wish real life could look as awesome as that picture but my brain would probably explode just walking about.

Daletron, my wife was wondering what camera you used. We are in the market for a nice one. Ad if you dont mind, what did you pay for it. I found a nice Nikon D40 with a lense or two (cant remember what ones) for like $500. I dont know much, but am trying to learn right now. Thanks for the help and the pic again.

I use a Nikon D80, its pretty much the Sti version of the D40. D40's are great cameras but are designed for specific lenses meaning you wont be able to pop on any Nikon lens like i can with my D80. Im fairly certain they have a pretty good range of lenses for the D40 anyway.
Also D40's have been discontinued and were replaced by the D3000 (fairly certain). You could buy one of those for around the same price but it wouldnt include the 2 lenses.
Is it a D40 or D40x?, either are great cameras but the D40x is tad newer.
The two lenses that come with it are probably the 18-55mm and a zoom lens. They are good entry level lenses, but if you are wanting to get more serious about photography they wouldnt be ideal.

ps. all up i spent about $2500 on my camera and lenses.

ahhh i hope ive made sense
cheers
