Ordered my UTEC today (YEA BABY!!!)

I ordered my UTEC and little map switch thing today from TXS. The person I spoke with on the phone was VERY patient, knowledgeable, gracious and customer oriented. While I could hear phones ringing, including what sounded like his cell phone, he took the time to answer every single one of my questions to more than my full satisfaction.

If the product is as good as the service Iíve received so far, it will be the best 1000 bucks Iíve ever spent.

Not sure if Iím allowed to spout like this in the forum, but this is the best way I know for me to pass along my good experience with this vendor. BUY THEIR STUFF. They do what few companies these days do: they offer a genuinely compelling value proposition, back it up with rock solid service and they make their customers raving fans.

Anyway, just thought you should know!

I am new here and I just got a 04 WRX wagon on Monday. I have been reading different posts and I am looking for mods. What made you pick UTEC?

Beat a Boxter yesterday.

Basically because the UTEC is the single best tuning tool for the WRX.

That's my next purchase. Whenever I can save enough money, that is...

why UTEC?

Chunster:

I ordered the UTEC because I could do my modifications gradually, and not have to send my ecu away, or drive somewhere to re-flash. That way I can slowly add components (and not break the bank) and then just download a different map into the UTEC to fit my configuration.

I hear EcuTek is good too, but every time yuo add a mod, you have to go back to a tuner and ret re-flashed.

I hope my answer helps.

Oh, and also becasue the UTEC suppsedly has superior knock control. That was also a factor in my decision...

utec

TEX

thanks, I need to drive it everyday and I am also doing mods one step at a time.

I got my car a few days ago and I ordered a Zero Sports air intake system. (I am only going to install the stainless steel intake pipe for now and wait till I do some work on the fuel system before I install the cone). But I have a K&N filter in the stock box.

I ordered a prodrive exhaust. (Will get the rest of the exhaust soon)

I got a HKS BOV (cheap from a guy I know who bought it but never used it in his WRX).

I already improved the factory boost solenoid.

At this point I don't know if I should do more performance mods or get some new speakers and a sub?

What should I do next? springs or the UTEC?
