Opinions needed!!

Hello-I would like to first say that this is not an advertisement, it is strictly just for an opinion of someone who may have experience. I am interested in selling my car but having trouble coming up with the price at which it should be listed. It is a 2005 WRX with the premium package (sunroof, heated seats, digital mirror). It has 10,800 miles, in perfect condition inside and out. The engine mods that it includes are turbo XS turbo back exhaust, turbo XS 4 inch downpipe, 3 inch uppipe, Perrin short ram air intake, 850cc injecters, turbo XS front mount, 20G monster ported turbo, Tial 50mm blow off valve, tuned at 22 psi, around 400 hp on the dyno. It is lowered 2 inches with Eibach springs and Eibach struts. The exterior mods include STI side splitters, JDM polyurethane front lip, Tenzo 6 spoke 17 inch grey metallic rims with 3 inch chrome lip, Toyo Proxes T1R tires, cleared head lights, 10000k HIDS, and I have a brand new Pioneer touch screen head unit, with navigation, DVD, IPod, and blue tooth capabilities. You can see pictures of the car at suby: subaru wrx , stage 5 setup - brick, New Jersey. I would really appreciate opinions from anyone who can help. I was already told perhaps to do 25 obo. Thanks for the help

THat is a sick WRX.....super low miles so i think it is worth 25K. Just trying to find someone who agrees with me could be a problem. Nice ride though....its a shame to get rid of it.

im still baffled as to why you would benefit from an uppipe that big...

Not trying to be a dick but if you dont have a tune with all those mods, then you couldnt even pay me to take the car. Perhaps some charts and graphs of dyno runs will help you sell it??

i know you have a lot of work done to your car but 25k for any wrx is REALLY pushing it...i dont care how many mods your talking. 25k, thats easily STI territory which comes with the peace of mind of stronger engine and tranny. Id say youd get 22 if your lucky. Just my .02

I wouldnt pay near that much with all those mods on it. They decrease the life of the car, you dont have forged internals, no built tranny. Maybe a kid that just wants a fast (but not for long) WRX he might pay about $22k for it. But throw it up and see what you can get.

between $20-25k sounds about right. like josh stated, no forged internals, stock tranny. with that much power is askn for the tranny to break. but with all the goodies you put on im sure someone will snatch it up, especially with those lloooww miles.

I would be shocked if that car sold for anything more than $20k. It's heavily modded but not where it counts the most (internals, transmission). The mileage is low which, honestly, would make me check the vins on the dash vs the car more than believe you about it. Mods generally do not increase the value of the car. You'll generally make more money parting it out. Especially in this economy, whatever the excellent bluebook price is on that car for a private sale, I would not consider it worth any more than that. Probably less.

Anybody looking at this I'd check the vins.

Also, as a mod, I am questioning this thread. Your first post is essentially skirting the rules of a for sale thread. This is my frowny face

The fact that it still has 10800 miles might get you over the 20000 mark. Usually, you wont be able to get more than blue book for it. When I sold my modded wrx i sold it for $1000 less than blue book.

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty

well maybe I put in wrong but I enter 05 WRX with 10k miles into KBB and it tells me no more than 15.5k for a private party sale.

If you asked me "what's my car worth?" I'd say $15k... assuming the mileage is correct.

I agree with mosc. I think you'd be lucky to get 17k for your car. You'd get a lot more money if you parted it out.

Personally, I'd be less skeptical if the car had 30k-40k miles. 10k miles on a 4 year old seriously modded car start to make me wonder how (hard or lightly) it has been driven (not criticizing, just saying). I think you're 18 months too late to be expecting any one of those numbers (from a general "I've got cash to spend" point of view).

That being said, I hope you find someone who is willing to agree with you on value.
