ok so when I was little I used to think that subarus were Australian...

Funny thing is so did my wife (before I knew her when she was younger)

It is perfectly reasonable...
Outback - Austrailian wasteland
Justy - (I thought a baby kangaroo was called this, but it is actually a Joey)

Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) was the spokes person

the australia flag is not unlike the subaru logo




I grew up in california and texas where there are hardly any subarus.

ok so admit it, did anyone else think that?

Lol never thought about it. Guess i can see your theory tho But no never thought about that If it wasnt Ford I didnt care then *mustang fan* Now im old enough i like more vehicles but...I can see the resemblence i guess. Cali boys dont see allot of stuff, and got a diff brand of knowledge as us East coast boys

yea i thought that too, and i think that the five stars in the logo has something to do with five merged australian companies? or maybe jsut five merged japanese ones. i dont remember. but yes i did think that.
