Official: Another Day on the Job Thread!!

Sooo...here's my contribution for the week to try an keep more active threads going. But I figured this could be a cool one. I do some crazy stuff on a daily basis and I know some others gotta have a cool job to talk about. Feel free to contribute!!

I'll start it off with my job at the CSX Railyard today. I had to change a tire on one of the box handlers today...not fun!

Nice pics. Dealerships certainly have an advantage of being new everything. Place looks nice!

My job sucks for the most part lol! I basically do AAA for 18 wheelers and off road equipment. I do get to work on some cool stuff and go to crazy places, but 90% of my day is chasing down the guy broken down in the slow lane of the highway on 90 degree days lol! I do sales sometimes too but usually only on Tuesdays. That's always an easy day lol!

I suppose its nice to work outside everyday and ALWAYS doing something a little different. But it's either 90+ in the summer or 35- in the winter. The weather is hands down the biggest - of my job...

I second that working outside is nice except when it's as hot as Africa and your job doesn't believe in a.c..
I do get to have fun with big toys tho.

I've been trying but it keeps telling me failure to connect to forum. I work for the town of Islip, driving heavy equipment payloaders, dozers tractors etc. Will post some pics when I can.

My job sucks period, I deal with welfare all day, everyday. Now when I had the gym it was awesome. Training people most of the day and really enjoying what I did for a living and making a difference in people's lives...Storms suck and so does the welfare.....grrrrr...

Yeah that def sucks man...sorry to hear about your business! I've had the office manager position job too for MANY years and I'd honestly rather be a road tech. Make more money and get more hours. Sad but true. But having the office + welfare would prob make me go all "The Shining" on someone's ass lol!

Yeah sucks to hear about while we were chatting Paul! Although having the skills and getting what your worth for expertise is difficult, there's def companies out there worth paying for the right man in the position instead of the cheap one. Keep diggin' brotha you'll find something!

A job I'd love to have for sure!! I bet you get some pretty cool jobs too and that's the reason I made this thread. Now we can post the occasional "not everyday" type of jobs/pics. Most of my days are pretty typical but once an a while I get the cool jobs like the one I posted. Next time I go to the quarries to work on a loader I'll be sure to update the thread. Always love mounting tires that are x2 my height lol!
