Well I have been talking it over with some of the guys that I did powerlifting with a few years back and I guess they are suppose to start having a local strongman competition every year here. I think I might start training for that to enter next years event. They have them in Sept., but I will not be ready by any means this year. They gave me a list of the events so I can begin practicing them. The training will be just what I need to get out of my funk.

Well hit the gym today and man I really am taking a beating. Did the following:

Deadlift 5x5 275lbs.<--very weak for me
High pulls 5x5 135lbs.<---these suck to no end
Shrug 5x5 405lbs.<--- a bit heavier than normal.
Weighted pull ups 5x5 45lbs.
Bicep Curl 5x10 105lbs.
Heavy Abs

Conclusion:
Mondays suck all around. I seem to be getting back into the swing of things, tomorrow I have event training.

Lazy...no, not really, thats pretty good man. Good luck with that event training, sounds like it will be one heck of a work out, but pay great dividends at the end. I do agree that mondays are the worst of any day, for anything. We ran "The Hill" today for PT, that was 14hrs ago, I still cant feel my knee, lol.

Sounds like a fun little hike...hehe The events training is basically carrying heavy stuff for distance on Tuesday, lifting heavy stuff a bunch of times on Thursday and throwing heavy stuff on Friday. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday are for weights. Of course I have a 5k race coming up Sunday which I haven't even trained for, but meh I don't think it will be an issue.

Goodness man, you are insane. But some of that does sound kind of fun. Kind of like not always wanting to fix something, sometimes it more fun to break it first, lol. But good luck with it all.

Well I finished my 5k Sunday at a time of 26:25. 2nd place in my age group and 38th overall out of 100 runners. Not to shabby I just wonder how well I would have done had I actually trained for it....
Well anyway today's workout is a repeat of last weeks...blah...Monday's suck.

My heavy lifting day as of late is getting my fat a$$ out of bed. This surgery has played hell on my success I was having at losing weight.
