Wish him best of luck from me. Im looking to be over there in the March/April time frame for my third time. Givng me a total of 43 months in 8 years of service. Im not trying to brag, but its a lot of time for being in aviation.

yea my dad is a Msg in the Army..been in for 30 years and this is his first time to go to war...he is actually looking forward to it. i was going to go into the air force but the military wasnt for me...but my hat is off to everyone who serves their country.

Im an E-5 (Sergeant) needing to get promoted, but hats off to him for putting in so much time to such a lifestyle. The Armed Forces is a change of pace for most, but it really helped me to get myself straight.

yea i know what you mean about connecting with someone across the country....i actually can't find anyone who owns a WRX around my way who isnt an Asshole...it just cracks me up when people have the"i'm way cooler than you cause my WRX has 300whp"complex...its just kind of annoying. We are all car guys...we all have the same love of cars....i guess what i am trying to say is that it's nice to find someone with alot of knowledge who isnt a prick.

Lol, thanks man. Its the same here also. Some guys with mods you can easily see (i.e CF hood/trunk, spoiler) are pricks here, thinking they are better than you. Idk guess thats why Im going the sleeper route also.

I actually wanted to stand out at first when I got this car. My idea was to do a custom body kit, wide rear end with something like the Voltex front end. Still might eventually go that route when I get a different car for DD. But the sleeper look is great for now, no extra hassle from the police.

Best of luck to your dad. Mail him some beef jerky, he will love it. I did two tours to Iraq to include the invasion in March of '03 with 3rd ID. And one tour in Korea.

Josh you are spot on about aviation always gets orders seems like. I was an apache crewchief and we were always gone.

Baller is right, send him beef jerky, its like gold out there, lol. Theres the boxes its like only $10 to send whatever you want, pack it full of stuff like that.

Boosted09, do you know his unit, wheres he stationed at now? Im just kind of curious. I love running into more military guys, or family members, or just people who support it.

I did the initial push also Baller, never worked ont he apaches, yet, but I still get about 12 years left, lol. Not sure if I will be as brave as boosteds dad and do 30 though.

Hes in the 90th Sustainment Brigade out of Little Rock Arkansas. Hes in the rear with the gear...exactly where i want him.
