I went to a dyno day this past weekend. My STi put down 270WHP/283WTQ on their Mustang. It was about 70 degrees out.

Dang Ken. I wonder why your HP is higher than mine. It was roughly 70 something when mine was dyno'd. But, I guess you do have the APS intake and custom tune also. No print out? Just wondering what your power curve looks like.

I have a bigger TMIC too and injectors too. Some cars just make better power than others.

I got a print out but I wasn't paying attention to it when I got it. I was really tired from working all night and heading straight to the dyno, so I didn't notice the scaling that he put up it makes my WHP look skewed.

What is a CSS TMIC? You have injectors too. I think the stock injectors and fuel pump kinda limited me anyways.

TMIC = Top Mount Intercooler

CSS Performance = A company that I haven't heard much from since 2008 (in fact, they might not even exist any more) that claimed to sell decent quality and somewhat large intercoolers for a relatively inexpensive price

Here is a road dyno plot that I got done from a log. It is pretty close to the actual dyno:

CSS was highly talked about for awhile. Said to be a cheaper version of the TurboXS. But just as quick as they came in, they went out. They had trouble keeping up with the demand and all that. I also heard rumor of them being sued for something or rather.

There's lots of stuff that makes ken better than my setup then. Better intake, better TMIC, and injectors.

I have always thought that getting a protune without opening up the air intake is somewhat limiting.... Get a CAI or similar and get retuned. 255whp isn't bad at all... It's not an aggresive tune.

So, I got her retuned. With the Perrin TMIC, a walboro fuel pump, and now a grimmspeed 3 port over the perrin bcs. She put down 266 whp and 315 wtq corrected (271/322 uncorrected).

when you put the larger intercooler on before the tune, did you lose power or did if feel slower than normal?

I didn't really notice that much of a difference. I checked it before my tune and my boost psi was over the set mark. I did pop a CEL. Which my tuner said was caused by the new TMIC. It changes the boost drop rates, colder air charge temps, and the newer TMIC flows much better. So, it only makes sense.

The reflash was a new kick in the pants with the amount of TQ i'm putting down now. But, that was due to the other mods just as much as the TMIC.
