Newbie here. picking up 05' STI

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I currently i have two cars. I can't drive either one of them during the winter. I have a 97' Cobra and a 93' Typhoon. I refuse to drive the Typhoon during the winter, cause day by day there are fewer and fewer left.
This week i am picking up my friends 05' Grey STi, it only has 2100 miles on it, brand new. He is buying a house and needs to unload it. I can't wait, to have a car that i can actually drive everyday. I will have pics up as soon as i pick it up.

That's funny. I think you're the first person I've heard of buying an STi as a Winter car. Obviously you'll need to buy another set of tires.

Yeah I would drive the other two. The Typhoon, yeah you dont see many anymore, but the Sti you'll love. As for the Mustang, its a Mustang, enough said, sell it lol. You have SO MUCH more car with the Sti then with the other two, so much more potential. Mine Sti will be in storage or my garage first sign of snow. Back out in the spring then. But just some advice is all

Thanks for the advice guys..Yeah, I probably wont by new tires till spring. so most likely on really snowy days i will take mom scooby, or dad explorer. Other then that if the snow isn't that bad on the road then i will drive it.
Yeah the stang is getting sold. I just haven't posted it up anywhere. I think i will miss it though, cause it is just a whole different type of driving. The Typhoon I keep around for show and weekend car. It is cool to have something that not to many people ever see or have ever seen.
So what do you think Blizzaks for the snow, i think that is what you guys were saying on the other thread.

Go with the Blizzaks, from what I hear, from a couple guys around Toledo, Ohio, they are the best. I am storing my Sti soon, but gotta love the 65 degree days we are having in the middle of November, gotta love global warming too

Picked it up today...here are some pics that i took this morning. I love it, this thing really rips. Totally different then driving my Cobra. But still about the same as the Typhoon. I love the STi suspension, nice and tight, can really feel the road. Are there any difference in the engine between the 04 and the 05 STi. I don't know why people complain about road noise. It is really quite in there, nothing like any of the mustangs i have owned.
Here are some pics.STi Album

What's with the whole not driving the STi in the winter? That is one of the main reasons I went with it, cause it has much more stability and control than my previous car in adverse conditions.

What's with people buying cars and not driving them? I mean people that buy Porsches and just keep them in the garage and stare at them. What's the point? A car is meant to be driven.
