Will be a daily, so hopefully we can avoid the mod bug. :D even though I have been YouTube'ing the exhausts and supercharger systems most of this week.

great engines don't need engine covers!

nice car, looking forward to your opinions on how it drives compared to our WRXs!

I used to love working on these things, that 4.2 has a monsterous growl, might be the best motor Audi ever used. Will be a nice ride for sure!

Also drove a new RS5, and man that thing is amazing. Already drove this and the main take away is that they are very refined. You look down at the speedometer and can easily go 100mph and not realize it. The low end torque makes me happy in pants too. And all the Euro side of the house always used some form of plastic engine covers. It's annoying...but the carbon fiber I can live with :)

I test drove one of those, was an older model but also a V8. They were so front heavy it was unbelievable. I guess that's what audi gets for putting the engine smack up against the radiator. Two tons and 58/42 is not a handling recipe. That one looks very clean though, and I always liked their interiors. Enjoy!

How old? I think they only made the RS4 in the US in 2007-2008 and has a 40/60 split. They use the same V8's within their series just "tune" them differently from factory. I know that between the S5/RS5 it's the same exact motor but they squeezed out over 100hp more. I didn't feel this one was front heavy at all. It just wanted to take off. Handling was great as well. Owners usually end up road coursing these.

They made the Wagon as well..... THAT thing is amazing and may be the one Daniel is referring to. There is a few of them local in my area.

BoostinChick 10-04-2012 10:10 AM

Hrm, if older the Avant RS4 is the only wagon one I can think of. They were the bi-turbo V6 though...

Yes, that's what it was 2000/2001 or something. NICE Audi for sure. Not for me though.

Coming back though.....

Here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Audi_RS4_Avant_rear.JPG One thing that really caught my eye were the massive brakes
