New Ipod out today! WOW is it sexy

Take a look at this guys. It's called the iPod nano. Super slim, color screen, and up to 4 gigs of storage. I'm going to unload my iPod shuffle, leave my 20 gig ipod in my navigator, and use this baby for my WRX and workouts. I just ordered a black version.

Not enough memory. I have the older 40GB one, w/o color screen and all that fancy stuff, and it works great, just I don't like the battery life.

battery life has been a big problem, you know there was a recall for free batteries or a $50 credit?

there was a class action law suit.

I forgot to mention that's exactly what I did. For everybody else who isn't aware, apple offers 10% off to students. Simply log in by selecting your college, and you're ready to go!

arrgh... i just bought the 4GB iPod Mini in January for about $179 on an after-x-mas sale.

The Nano is pretty nice, but I heard that the screen scratches VERY easily. Check geek message boards. I saw a few links on GoogleNews about a BUNCH of people mad because even cotton would scratch the screen!

However, you can't argue with the small size, decent amount of storage, and long battery life. 14 hours on that little thing? The flash memory is definitely an improvement. Definitely the main reason for longer battery life. Also, it won't crash or freeze up like the older iPods with hard drives do

Maybe by x-mas they will have fixed the scratchable screen and I'll get a black one

I don't care how small they make it, I will still get the good old 20GB one, especially now that it has a color screen for 300 bucks!

I love my new IPod Nano. I could careless that it's all scratched up (not deep, but tons of light scratches all over). Thin and sexy as hell, as much music as I will ever listen to in a weeks time (flash keep in mind, not harddrive based), and just as good of a quality of playback. As long as it's not structially unsound, I'm good. Perfectionlists...

I too have noticed that it scratches easily, but to be honest this is my beater ipod. I use this sucker in the gym and when i'm at school walking around. You just can't beat the size/portability! When I want access to my full music library I use my 4th gen 20 gig ipod.
