I like the color scheme a lot, gradient works for me. The headlight pic used on each page link are a little repetitive and get overwhelming. I like the handwriting style font in the header and would like to see that used again somewhere, probably on the page links, but with no pics. I know you are probably still working on it, but the font in the right center box where info goes is too big and looks like its cutting off. Maybe incorporate some more blue accents like in the grill logo to keep your eyes moving around the page and leading you back to the top or to links.

I am assuming you will be building the rest of the pages around the home page? If so, and this is my personal anal OCD...I like to build sites so the page links are in the same place all the time on every page, either side bar or across the top in a bar for ease of navigating, and for the computer tards using the interwebs for the first time. I hope that makes sense.

Overall good start. This is all constructive criticism from one designer to another. Positive vibes!

Im on a Mac G5, running OSX. Could be the case I take back all my feedback if Im viewing the wrong stuff. LOL I thought it was weird the information part was like helvetica or arial, and like 28pt! Then the links were like newsprint or something to that effect. I dig that handwriting font though, what is that? Looks like a comic sans/papyrus combo. Papyrus is one of my favs, but not the best for web. Nice. Just tie in that blue on the grill to cruise your eyes around the page. I'll try to find a PC to check it out! What software are you using? Dreamweaver? Cheers!

Well if thats your first, then you are on it! Looks great! Few tips on the way the brain works. For the younger generations and west coast trends, our eyes travel easiest from the upper left corner, diagonal across the page to the lower right corner across the bottom and then back up the left side to the top again. Older folk and east coast trends, tend to be satisfied more by symmetry and the eyes travel top to bottom down the center of the page. Weird huh? Try to use those concepts to keep the eyes moving around the page. Try to notice ads and print. Movie posters are usually good examples and easy to recognize the different style based on release area (east or west coast).

Newsletter is cool man! I dig it. I wasn't reading before, but I will do so now! I like the featured car and specs section, and the story to go with it. A how to or tips section would be nice too. Maybe start a section featuring different tuner shops in your area to start and then branch out to other states. Phone interviews with owners or employees?? Its basically free marketing for them if you feature their shop, and that in turn might build some retainer accounts for you. 100 people @ $2.00 a pop = $200.00?! to advertise thats cheap for them and easy money for you, if your talking about a subject you love and spreading the word! Keep it up man! You have my support!
