Looks pretty good to me. But I would look at it personally first.

I dont believe that from any wrx owner. ask him what he drove before his wrx. I have 2 kids and whenever they are in the car i dont drive hard at all. when they are not in the car i usually will go 30 in a 25. and 70-75 on the highway. rarely do i smash the gas and bring it up to 6k but it does happen. everyone does it. so what he is trying to tell you is he bought a rally car to drive it like a grandma?

he is an older guy, but he did say he has the cobb accessport and upgraded the maps. but he revered it back to stock to sell it. ima see if i can get that in the deal when i go get it. but yea ill be making a trip up there and take a look for myself. apparently his reason for selling it is cause he doesnt have time to enjoy it. lol whatever

Its funny that your deal sounds exactly like mine. I just recently bought a 04 WRB WRX with 25K mi for $16,000. Good luck with it and make sure you look over everything and take it for a nice drive Oh and if you have never rode in one yet, just wait until you hit boost I do recommend removing the snorkel under the hood(ram air set up), and the black box in the passenger fender. You can hear the turbo go SSSSSSSSS
and then when you let off the gas you can hear what sounds like a BOV, without having one. Enjoy

well what i was thinkin of doing was getting an aps CAI (i know i know ive read over and over about the leaning and how its not nessary until 325) but i read up on that CAI and its made specifially not to lean out the engine what so ever, cause i dont want cylinder #3 over heating and then all sorts of crap messing up. and i was gona get a large turbo inlit from the same people. im just excited about driving it (not racing just driving) cause around where i live wrx's are rare to none. and when i post up at a light people are gona be like wtf at the massive spoiler and the SSSSS sound. its gona be sooo ballin.

there is one thing that im not etirely to sure about. is it ok to launch at all? cause i meen i dont wana have a broken tranny an hour or so into driving it. i just wana know the stock limits the tranny can take

NOT AT ALL. AWD is not meant to be dumped on. There is not spinning/chirping the tires unless you have PPGs, and LOADS of power. Ask shoaf, Im sure he could tell you about it. I saw him post some pics of an AWD burnout, but he is far from stock.

I dont know about others, but my first gear is very short. Basically it is just there to get you moving. You can start out in second you just have to give it more gas and let the clutch out slower. Doing this will cause more wear on the clutch though. I think it is important to learn to rev match as well. It is less harsh on the tranny. ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT thing to remember is to 1. Never launch the car and 2. DON'T bang through the gears. Ease the shifter into gear and then get on it, NO slamming. Its wierd that the tranny doesent like to go into 1st unless you are going 5 mph or less.
Be nice to your WRX and enjoy the ride
