I just want to ask, I do have a wrc style wing on my car(big wing), I dont burn my tires on stop. But I do break lose tires when I exit a corner sometimes and I rev up the rpm when I down shift. So do I looks like a ricer? I really want to know and I dont want to be a ricer.......

well you cant roast the tires from a stop
but thats just nit picking

a ginormous/useless wing on the back of your car puts you in MY ricer book. but im stricter then most

if you like the way the wing looks hooray for you. i think there ugly

if you have a wing on your car because you think its adding downforce and makes you drive better !Laugh! jokes on you

if you like getting lit and sliding out of a turn me too

I put the wing on because it more looks like wrx, gold wheels and big ring, wrx's classic. I think over 90% of the wings or body kit will not help the car down force, They just make the car slower, mine too.
Yeah, I like the feel of power slide out.

i think you ment to say, it looks more like the WRC imprezza. and yeah, but even that one dosent help them much.

i dont consider a WRX fast. its quicker then most cars in the same price bracket, but compared to the vast spectrum that is modern day vehicles, it qctually quite slow.

Yeah the new cobra coast like 38000 dollars, and from 0 to 60 only take 4.0 sec. It can compare to the supercar on that. Audi SR4 looks fast too, but I dont like it very much, because the front will overweight I think, V8 engine in a compact car.

the cobra is advertised to have what? 500 hp? so roughly 400 whp. despite the weight of the engine over the front axel, i think 400whp is more then suficent enough to command the rear end of that car with unmentionable zeal.

understeer wont be a problem.

Are you talking about the 03/04 Cobra or the GT500? Because the GT500 will be putting down well over 400hp to the wheels.

Garage
Not to mention the limited availability of the upcoming Shelby, (7000 units only for the first year) will drive the price up... likely around 50k.

The 03-04 Cobras can be had for a decent price, if you can find one. The verts are going for around 36-38k, for that you get 390 horse of supercharged goodness, (roughly330 RWHP with a 15% loss).

But back on-off-topic, I don't know how ANY wing would give you any real aero assistance, less you were really moving... seems the extra weight would be more of a detriment than any potential assistance near your top end...

edit: one of the reasons I didn't get a wing on either of my cars...

Brandon
02 WRX Cobb Stage 2 now SOLD to my father who sold it to my Brother. Have fun Al!

i thought the new mustang cobra was advertising 500hp. i dont follow ford so im not sure on that.

the weight is moot compared to the drag it creates

downforce on a steet car kicks in USUALY around 118 to 120mph. but thats also determined by the drag the wholy car makes, and how effecient its aero is.
