Well, they told me it wasn't spun - I asked when they showed me my engine. There apparently was just piston slap - and it was a really small amount compared to what I've seen. So I wonder why they wanted to just replace the short block? Maybe that's just easier for them? Maybe they're just helping me out? Either way. I'm very excited. Apparently my engine is really clean otherwise. They said there was no way this could have happened from abuse, because there were no other signs of damage pt abuse in the engine. So I guess the problem just was really weird and unique. o.O
Lmao, yep demand my refund once they've replaced an expensive part of my engine that cost more than the warranty. ;D
When I was in there one of the guys was telling me I have to stop racing. I was like, "Oh ya, cause I race all day every day. It's such an abused car."
I do push it every day though on my way to work. It's SO much more fun than my legacy on that windy road. ^_^
edit: Just thought about this, maybe there was a lot of damage done to the cylinder wall?
And you should not let them run a QT or under....unless you want to have engine/turbo damage. That's why its said to check the oil levels about every other gas fill up. I slack at it too at times...but, I definitely check this car's oil level more than any other car.
