Well on my last thread i talked about how my number 4 piston broke while i was on the dyno so i went out and bought a STI short block and used my 2.0 heads, and i sent my heads out and had them woked on and i put a evoIII big 16g turbo on it, i will post a few pics of my build up, i cant wait to get my car tuned and running again.

not to take away from the original post but i've been reading a lot lately on people who have been re-building there ej20's and 25's because of broken ring lands, other mechanical issues, or just because. but what cause something like broken ring lands? seems like a lot of subbies have issues with their engines breaking but most of us use the best parts and are responsible with our tunes to make the safest power possible but stuff still goes wrong!

so what will the break in be like? just like a new oem motor, take it easy and under 3k for the first 1000 miles.

I'm doing my build right now, It's going slower for me though. I'll be done in about 3 weeks. Talk me through the break-in / get tuned timeline if you don't mind. I don't want to run my engine any longer than I have to untuned(That's what did in my #4 ring land,) and I don't want it on the dyno screaming until it's ready. Thanks
