mazdaspeed Protege'

I saw one today with loud (I am guessing Turboback) exhaust. and it had a pretty big FMIC.

He was revving and weaving in traffic to get ahead (I immediatly noticed his FMIC in the mirror)

so as soon as he got next to me I downshifted and shot forward under very audible boost, just a little "Hey I have a turbo too". He then proceeded to back off and drive normally.

I was kinda dissappointed because I would really like to see what a modded one can do... unmodded they are not that interesting.

Even modded they aren't that interesting. A local guy has one with a FMIC and exhaust. Still horribly slow. He lost to an all-motor Civic not too long ago. Supposedly the block can't hold much more than 12 psi safely.

Yeah Turbo or SCC had one as a project car and jsut returned it to Mazda. It looked good but the output #s were not that impressive. Plus it's FWD.

Yeah you think the MSP is slow, my dad has an MP3, basically unturboed MSP. Slower than shit, but let me tell you, it handles over 100x better than the WRX. Next summer I am hoping to put on a header and catback exhaust along w/ some sort of intake to get the car a little more giddy up. But damn that car is ungodly slow.
