same here, but I fail at taking pictures so it would be the worst thread ever, I might make an attempt next time or when the wagon begins its transformation into a track rat whichever comes first

Keith glad to see you back. You hold a wealth of knowledge also. Will be great to hear and see it again.

As far as track time goes. I have missed 2 auto-xs unfortunately because of heavy drinking the nite prior to one, and trying to be a family man the other. The second of course turned out better, lol. We (friends and I) are trying to get a group to go to the drags tho. A couple subies, a Genesis, a couple mustangs. I want to go to get some times, and to also shut a couple haters up. Two of the mustangs, both 4.6L think they are faster than me. I just need to update my AP and put some LC and FFS on it before also So much to do, so little time.

just a warning Josh if you do enable the LC and FFS just make sure to get some practice in first or you'll look like a real N00b

Thanks man, sorry for my lack of being here, just life getting in the way...You should always put family first, ALWAYS. They are the single most important thing....other than beating Mustangs....LOL

LOL. Yes practice and show them a thing or two. I remember what's his face stomping cars with his stage 2 STI with LC and FFS on. Let me dig up the thread.

Zmanoside and here is his thread: Another night at the drag strip

not just stalling at the line, I've seen people destroy built gearboxes with L/C just popping off the clutch with sticky tires

At least destroying your trans you can still walk away with your man card...Stalling your car in front of a couple of hundred people will get you kicked out of the club, especially when using launch control...

not really, it depends on the type of tires your running, but the water box will pretty much always make you spin off the line

All the tracks here that I have checked out the water boxes can be avoided. I will just be running my Kuhmos, they arent that special. Im getting pretty good with launching it without the LC. I have gotten it to "squeal" upon slipping the clutch out. Aroudn 4400 RPMS, just hard to hold with the lightened flywheel. I wasnt as eager to go until a guy with a 4.6 headers, back exhause and a knock off intake said he could be me at any type of race anytime, anywhere. I drove his car, its a slug compared to my car. I even gave him the chance to drive mine and he didnt want to. But I did take him in a ride in mine. When we got back he didnt say anything, just left. But at work he still runs his mouth.

Ahh Kirt you know me too well. Dont get me wrong I almost like the sound of a V-8 more than my subie rumble. Just cant see trading a very well rounded car, for something that is so single minded in nature.

Alright, lets bring back the dead...if needed I will post somewhere else. But the modding bug has once again awoke in me and I have begun my research for some more go fast bits. Before we get too far into it, Im still on stock suspension (springs/struts), but that will be my next mod when I decide to bite that bullet. Anyways two things Im looking at...

1.) an EWG setup. Two choices with this; the new Cobb setup with a 44mm WG (just install parts with this, no coating, or IWG bracket). And the Grimmspeed unit. It was always my first choice as most the people I knew ran it. Its a 38mm WG (can get bracket, gaskets, and coated for $30 more than the Cobb). We know Im a Cobb whore, but the GS was always on my list, and it seems like the better deal. But asking which is preferred or what are others opinions as I might have overlooked something.

2.) Im REALLY considering the FMIC route also. Really interested in the ETS setup first and foremost, but was wondering what thoughts were on this also. There are several reasons Im considering the FMIC route, dont really care for opinions/options on why to or not to do it, just brand. Been doing alot of reading and research here also, and in the process of directly emailing several of the manufacturers of this products to see what they have to say about them.

So let me hear what others think and care to drop on me. Thanks everyone.
