IHI RHB52 turbo

Hi i want to put the above turbo on a 1500cc toyota. any recommendations or dos&donts?

thanks for all your help.

if the 1500 revs to over 8000rpm do it, if not it will be to big (slow spool due to size 20 exh housing) i assume it is the rs turbo stocker, depending on comp trim (vf8,10,12-12 being smallest) it will produce 280hp at 20psi on a 2 liter, get a TDO4L, it will work much better and they are cheap

right now my toyota is using the factory CT9 turbo, any idea if TD04L is bigger than this since I am after an upgrade..

yes it is, if i recall correctly a ct9 is good for 230ish at 18psi and TD04l is good for 280-300 at 20psi( thats what we got out of one on a 4AGZE 1600, Is it a ct9 form a starlet GT, another possible would be a ct12, not sure what the are off, maybe one of the turbos from a twin turbo supra, make sure to get the one with the steel turbines not the ### ceramic wheel, i would do the tdo4l setup or a t25 from s13 SR20 or t28 from s14 or gt28 from s15 silvia.

the problem is that none of the turbos u mentioned are available where I am but the IHI RHB52 only...

if its all you got then have a go, it wont be worse than the ct9, it will be slower to boost but will outpower it in the topend, do it and dont make to many mods to the old setup so you can put it back on if you dont like it.
