i later saw the guy at a fudruckers and got to talking to him asked to see under his hood. and i was like wtf. why does the intake look super restrictive, the intake manifold plastic, and why is the bpv look all jacked up? yet pull so hard

do you know how to drive??? a stock 09 shouldn't pull on you.. was your car loaded with people? were you all out? how much psi are you running?

i wasnt going all out at all. just to the speed limit lol. even so we were both in third and we gunned it to 65 but for some reason when my car went it just b lined it. when his car went his front end lifted and made a sick sound and just took off. thats what im trying to figure out. do the 09 wrx's have a different turbo?

Yea its different than yours...its a IHI vf52.

A stage 2 WRX (02-08) would probably have a hard time pulling on an 09 WRX. The VF52 is much more potent than a TD04. Its a little about the driver. But the 09 does come with more power, and more usable power (from what I have read) than any of the previous year WRX.

But speaking of 09s trying to pick on anyone. One tried on my way home today also. Was pretty stock, some red stripping around his grille and scoop. I just smiled and waved, let him go.

I think a stock 09 is pretty much a stage 2 earlier model. BTW did you look for a DP. A DP and stage 2 tune is almost invisible with the heat shield put back on the turbo. That's how mine is setup, looks stock under the hood.
