I freakin Love my WRX...

I was down in NC this last weekend with my WRX. I went 4 hours out of my way to go through Smokey Mountains National Park to find some fresh asphalt... Mmm... Did I find it. The roads were near the tail of the dragon if you've ever heard of it.

It was a blast.

The thing I really loved was when I filled up after about 2 hours of that and stop and go traffic in towns, and then some hiway driving... I still got 26 mpg...

That's amazing imo. Way much more fun to drive than my old Honda Civic, an only about 6 mpg worse in those driving conditions.

So I love it.

Haha... that brought back some memories for me too. I drive out of my way all the time for no reason other than to stay behind the wheel a little bit longer. The Tail of the Dragon is still on my list of things to do, although I might have to hit it twice (once in my WRX and again on my brother's sport bike).

Yes, curves are way cooler... On roads too. Pretty much the reason I love Subaru. Give me a nimble Subaru over an American muscle car any day. Sure they're fast in a straight line... but... can they take a corner?

I guess there are exceptions though.

I didn't know I was so close to the tail of the dragon. I knew it was down that way, but I would have gone had I known it was right there! I literally drove right by it. I guess I'll just have to go out of my way again sometime soon.
