sounds like a rod bearing to me. the car will still run with a bad bearing, it will just be loud as hell.

I may be way off here, but what about a motor mount? My Escort GT sounded like that right after I T-boned a crylser seabering @ 45mph. Broke 1 motor mount and a tranny mount and the pully system was rubbing against the side wall. Unless there was previous damage or it's really old and rusted that's probably not it, but just thought I'd ask.

Bump! OK Turns out my turbo was leak'n coolant into the oil lines, got in the motor & ...well you know the rest. Went to Ron @ Rawperformance. Hes' throw'n in an EJ257(brandnew), A new VF39, New water&oil pumps, gaskets,belts,etc...for a grand total of only $5200(ish)!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see my Bugeye Go!!!

Now i'm look'n into fuel pump, pink injectors, & an STi IC.
Ain't it great when a problem ends up make'n ya happy!?

Any Guess on my #'s when I get her back?
