haven't posted in a while..and a question

Hey all I haven't been here in a while. I still plan on getting a REx though! Wondering if anything exciting has been going on.
Does anyone have a link or know any info about the need for a turbo timer anymore? I have heard that Subaru has made it so that the oil keeps recirculating throught the turbo even after the engine is shut of or something to that extent.
Peace,
Nick

A lot of people say you don't need one because the coolant vaporizes and still circulates or something. I don't buy it. I was under the impression that the water pump made the coolant circulate.

I say get one. I have one and use it religiously.

You dont need one according to Subaru, and I tend to trust them considering that they make the car. This link has some good info regarding this issue. The only time I cool it down is when I go to the track and drive it hard; I just leave it one for 30 seconds then turn it off.

Umm.... sounds fishy to me. Why wouldn't cooland circulating from the water pump, through the radiator cool better than coolant vaproized (which is hotter than liquid coolant)?
