Please use capital letters and apostrophes. "i dont think" you realize the key difference here is that JDM STi motors are 2.0L and USDM STi motors are 2.5L. Also, EJ257 implies USDM STi only. Nothing JDM, not a 2.5L WRX (that'd be EJ255).

Is there a difference in the motor between the EJ255 and the EJ257 other than the turbo and red intake manifold?

Yes. Mostly the heads. The EJ257 is drive by wire, the EJ255 is not. There are a lot of other differences (I'm not qualified to enumerate) but it boils down to a fancier control system on a slightly stronger engine with a 500rpm higher rev limit.

Oh ok, thanks again for the clarifications, basically you can't just take an EJ255 and slap on an STi turbo and think you've got an STi motor huh? I see,

edit - Which one looks like a sil80? That first one is some sort of 240sx (or 200sx in Japan) Either an S13, S14 with a front conversion or a real-deal S15. A sil80 is an S13 HATCHBACK with a Silvia front. Hatchback is a 180sx + Silvia front = Sil80

Huh! The S202 and S204 are jdm sti's, with a little more power than the regular jdm sti's. They come pretty rice out stock, like the s204 wing looks way different than the regular sti wing. But there is way more different version of the sti than these two, i believe there is the Spec C and the Spec C RAR which is the fastes version of all japanese production sti's, evo dont even come close to it. There might be more but thats all I know about or seen.

Thats the front end of a s15 your looking at, no reason to do a conversion in japan if you can get the real thing, there was a few more s15 on the base when i was there but i didnt get a pic of them.

It doesnt make sense to me that an IS300 would be in Japan when they have The Allteza.
Im going to respectful disagree with whom ever says its NOT an Altezza.
