Grandfather drove the wrx

So the other night my grand father had to lend out his truck and needed to borrow my WRX to get to work. Keep in mind this is my 55YR old grandpap, He was the one bitchn about me buyin a fast car as it is.

Well I heard him holler in to me "Thanks for letting me use the car, Im off to work I will talk to you later" So off he goes.

About 25 mins later he gives me a call telling me " That damn car is like a rocket, that thing is faster than Dewaynes *Cousins* GTO" He then went on to tell me that he is going to pull out two of the spark plugs and weld the holes shut so i cant go fast

The next morning "This morning" he tells me he is looking to get a subie. Possible a STI or the same car as mine !Laugh! I think he liked driving it.

I just found this funny, due to the fact that he was pissed that I got the WRX and not a SLOWER Legacy N/A "Luxury model" Now he wants to look into getting one, funny part is my grandmother LOVES the Blue STI

How cool would it be to have 2 subies in the drive way STI and 06 wrx. We would have to race them

here are the stats...the subie will run all over it !Laugh!

Coupe
6961 Made in 1997
4.6 DOHC
305 @ 5800
300 @ 4800
3390 LBS
14.0 1/4 mile

Not worth it being an older RWD car. Low miles tho. they only want 8 grand for it.

EDIT: talked them out of it. Said its a 97 not as reliable Killer on gas and RWD and can only use it 8 monhts "Snow" or so out of the year. Also told her a used STI will walk all over it.

Throw a paxton or a vortech supercharger on that bad boy and you have a totally different beast. Now granted, a subaru will eat it up in the canyons. I was thinking about getting a used cobra to toy around with.

haha I took my grandma for a ride in mine when I first got mine, first thing she said after I took off, barely on the gas. Was "you know that we do have cops here", it was hilarious, my mom was in the car she told her I was just getting up to the speed limit.
