Got suprised by a LINCOLN!!!

Coming to work this morning, a new Lincoln Towncar passed me. I was doing about 80, he must of been doing 90.
When i eventually got up behind him (traffic pulling in front of me), we started having a go at it. Started at about 80 all the way up to 115.
That bugger pulled away from me from 80 up to about 100 then i had him after that. But the thing that got me the most was that huge ass car went round the corners faster than me!! I was doing 100 round a corner i dont normally do more than 85 on, and he pulled over to the inside and passed me!!
My back end was fishtailing on the bumps and i was having a hard time keeping it on the road.
I felt embarresed so i pulled off on the next exit, went through the lights and got back on the highway again by which time he was long gone.

I think i need to sort out my wagon. !Notfunny!

Well...... just so you know, Steeda does make a Super Charger for the Lincoln LS. So maybe........... But doubt it. Remember, they have a bigger block and more displacement for higher power up top.

You know, now somewhere on some Lincoln message board, he's talking about his race with a WRX saying how slow they are...

yea, dont worry about it, most WRX's arent rolling start racers. i had a close race with a new poniac grand prix tonight! he went first, so i punched it at 2500 rps, he was pulling on me, but when i hit 3rd gear i flew past him. but whatever!! rolling starts+WRX= bad

How would a stock WRX comapre to a stock S2000? Off the line ofcourse, lets say 1/4 mile.
Just curious.

Licoln LS's are no joke. I've seen a modded one with a 20 piece body kit that I seriously had no chance against. They are nice cars

Guys read closely we are talking about a Towncar not the LS. Remeber the "Modular" V8 is the same basic motor used in all Ford V8 designs now. from the Mustang to the F-150. There are plenty of mods for that motor.

This guy had to have a lot of mod$. A stock Towncar could never take turns like that nor does it have the power with all that weight to move that quickly.

Or maybe he had some really sticky tires and the auto tranny downshifting for him made a big enough difference vs 5th gear in the WRX.

Never been a big fan of the S2000. Sounded like I was carting around a swarm of atomic bees.

I got surprised by an audi S4 on the way home from work. He totally blew by me and it was tough to keep up. I need my accessport bad, oh and a new turbo, haha. I also now know that the new S4's are v8's, whoa, and all wheel drive. Maybe I would of had a better chance from slower start.
