Too much lol. It was about $1200 when it was all said and done i believe. The part was $1095 and my dealer charged me $100 for install, which is an hour of labor plus tax. I could have installed it myself but I was concerned with warranty at the time. If you install it yourself you can try heuberger subaru online. They have cat-back in the $800 range. I'm not sure how much to ship it. I've gotten stuff off there its cheaper than full price through my dealer even with shipping.

Here's the most accurate setup to what I personally had on mine I could find. I too had the AEM intake and MD spacer, but I had HKS test pipes. Still pretty close to what mine sounded like.

I'd post a rolling clip but I can't afford another infraction for "street racing" lol!

We carry a bunch of cat back systems for your car that sound great.

The Invidia stuff is really popular, it's well build and sounds smooth and deep without being raspy.

The Q300 system is the quieter option for your car (Usually right around 90-95db).
Invidia Q300 Exhaust System 12 11 10 09 08 07 06 05 Subaru Impreza

The N1 systems are lighter and a bit louder (There are also options for "single" exit, which some people prefer). Invidia N1 Exhaust System 12 11 10 09 08 07 06 05 04 Subaru Impreza

Let me know if you're interested and we'll give you forum member discount.

Yuuupp...sounds just as nasty on the WRX. No actual CBE available but a mid pipe is far from a problem.

I don't know how many people on here are from california, but a big question I have been dealing with is:
in cali we have these stupid little smog tests we have to pass(unlike back home in tennessee) and I keep seeing people say get a catless uppipe.
Is this legal in california?

I'd say def not! Go on NASIOC and enter the Cali region forum, then search your question. I'm sure something will pop up regarding a question like this one. But Cali is by far the strictest of all states with cars so I'd say that's a no go.

If you get an AP swapping back an forth for inspections could be a possibility and pretty simple.

Yeah that is what I was afraid of.
Looks like i might have to make some calls back home and see if I can register my car back home so I don't have to follow these stupid rules.
Because just by what I am seeing, cali is going to be saying no to many of the basic mods I need to do to start stepping up my game?
