Color changing paint

I saw this a few days ago and my first reaction was a mix of impressiveness and want for my car. Although now that I've had some more time to think about it I'm not so sure. It looks cool, but it would bug me not being fully one color or another. It seems like it would really be for a show car, not a DD. I also feel that this will become popular with the ricer scene and ruin it forever. FOL

It's like the hyper color shirts from the late 80s. On a diff note, there's a company by me that does tinting and car vinyl wrapping. He's got the chameleon wrap that the color looks diff in diff angles/sunlight. It's actually really cool. The one I saw goes from green blue and purple amongst other colors.

NeverSummer, I like the paint that changes colors from different angles. It looks much cleaner than the temperate changing paint. The car stays completely one color or another, not splotchy.

Well what's nice is that you can get the car wrapped in vinyl that changes color from diff angles. Vinyl also protects your car for a nice resell in the future

Hot vs cold

I'm sure it's pricey and screw a touch up. It's probably respray it all or nothing.

BLAZE2099 10-08-2013 07:28 PM

just about, unless of course it's redone within good time by the person why sprayed it originally.

Check out the line by House Of Kolor.
Some like it, some hate it.

I love almost anything custom that takes a skill set.

I'm doing a bike in their candy red this winter, with custom airbrushed snake skin wrap and snake underbelly in an off white/yellow., maybe pink belly, I dunno quite yet.
