Cobb ap v3-wire issue

Sooo I experienced my first issue w my Cobb ap via the wire that connects to the car. Yesterday I add it plugged into my car while driving. I was flipping thru my ap and ended up going into the check for codes (cel) and my Cobb ap screen said make sure car is in ON. Well I noticed my cord wire was getting really hot. I disconnected it immediately.

I just got off the phone w John at Cobb and he assured me its a problem that they are seeing w some of cables. They have switched manufacturing companies of the cable. Cobb is sending me a new cable due to the issue.

Just kinda scared me that it got hot enough to feel thru my pants. Just letting anyone out that has the v3 to keep an eye out for your cable.

It only happened at idle when I went into the check codes area. Cobb reassured me its the cable not my ecu.
