You get yelled at, at your current job? You wanna feel better about your job, come work with me...Nothing like getting some smelly 400lbs welfare bitch complaining that she over paid by $.04 and then find out she didn't really even pay for it...That is a pretty much everyday thing. Shop lifters taking swings at you and, well your not suppose to, do anything other than let them. First of the month people coming in everyday of the month with there free money and free fing cell phones, eat shit for food and bitching about being over weight...Oh where were we? Oh you really sure you wanna become a mechanic? You get your butt ripped just as much depending on who you work for. It's not all glitz and glamour like you think.

Hawkeye- I just didn't think it was done anymore due to rotors coming down in price and tolerances for when the rotors are originally made. I clearly have a lot to learn!

ProImport-I may need to go through that route, get a lower job and work my way up. I used to work in a precision sheet metal fabrication shop doing assembly and part fabrication and loved it. I hate sitting on my butt all day on the phone, I would much rather be working with my hands.

Taxes pay the bills

Psinuse, definitely no glitz or glamour here, I expect to work long hours freezing in the winter covered in grease and probably small amounts of my own blood. It won't be easy but nothing worth doing is easy. You job sounds like it sucks, getting yelled at because the customer screwed up and wants to blame you is never fun. Some people can do it and more power to them. I just don't have the personality to deal with that. I would much rather be doing something that is interesting to me, even if the work is harder.

Nathan- that sounds like the best way to do it. I'm going to have to work to pay bills and tuition so I may wind up doing something similar.

Just spend $40 get some biz cards and do what you know best to do.
Thats how I started my weekend work.
During the snow, I drive around charging people to pull their car out and shovel drives.
during the summer and winter, repair cars, cut down trees, and fix up homes
there is always someone with money out there no matter how hard the times are and they always need something to do.
and normally they don't know how to do it or want to do it, you just need to get to them and find out what they need done

I work as a manager at a grocery store now. Up until last year I owned my own business. I am also a personal trainer, shocker I know, but thanks to Planet Fitness that has gone down the crapper as well. I just really need to move where there are more people that wanna be healthy...or a deserted Island
