Haven't confirmed this. Looking at the photo on subaru.com, it does show the entire assembly, not just the shift lever, which would lead anyone to believe they were buying the entire assembly.

Also, the bushing that is required, is only the rear. ... bullshit. it pays to pay attention to detail kids.
Good call with cancelling that.

If you get the subie SS you get the the whole assembly, the linkages and the shift stick. Its a direct bolt in which replaces the stock linkages and stick. Most aftermarket short shifters are just the stick, and you keep the stock linkages. I did the swap myself so I seen what it came with. The bushing you get that you "have" to order with it isn't much better than the one that comes with the stock shifter/linkages on the car. Again made that mistake as well, not much stiffer if any than stock, not worth it. So I started with the stock setup, and now have the subie short shift lingakes with the kartboy short shifter (just the stick), kartboy rear bushing (way stiffer than any of the subie ones), and perrin front bushings. You could save yourself $300+ on that interest payment you mentioned before not wanting to pay more for. chaching!

Ordered mine in August. The dealer said it'd probably be late November by the time I get it. Ordered a WRX limited wagon with auto day/night mirror with home link, short throw shifter, and other little goodies.

All good points, although if you're actually getting the entire assembly for the seemingly high price, whereas aftermarket is simply the lever and bushings for half the price, that doesn't sound so bad after all. I remember putting brass bushings in my 1978 datsun 280z made a world of difference.

Gohan, that's what i'm thinking, although late October would be even better !!

Still no word on my delivery date.... i'm wondering if they can at least tell me when it's physically en-route from Japan, so I know when to get my current driver listed for sale.

Depends on the dealership...some will give you a invoice number to track it yourself and other will give you a heads up. Some dealerships don't say crap till it shows up. Lol

I thought there was a way on their website or something. I haven't done it myself, but heard their was a way to get a rough estimate by tracking the invoice number.

I am 'old school' and when I want this type of info I always go directly to the source ie contact the manufacturer.
