almost had a horrible night....

Was driving home last night around 330am when a friend of mine and I made a dumb decision to drive a little spirited. He gunned it, of course..and with the road being DEAD, I gun it too. (going maybe 85-90 in a 65) 10 min later I see red and blue lights in my mirror and we both get stopped. Cops pulls us out immediatly for street racing. Lets just say I had to be very eloquent and ultimately talked my way out of being hauled to jail. Thank god for second chances. Just reminded me how a acting on a whim can yield VERY serious consequences. BE CAREFUL GENTLEMEN!!!!!!! Just thought i'd share as a reminder for everyone to not get too caught up behind their whp btw I ended up getting a ticket for failure to signal a lane change. Thank god I know how to talk to cops...

Man....You're lucky! Reminds me of my luckyness of my last spirited driving experience. Talked my way out of being accused of street racing too.

last night i was out playing poker and my fiancee was out with some of her friends. We were all at the same casino just different areas. our babysitter is watching her 4 year old and our daughter, when our daughter wakes up and starts screaming. wont stop for nothing. so the babysitter calls my faincee and she calls me. her temp was very high and might have to go to the hospital. We jumped into the wrx and took off! ( babysitter does not own a car ) I through my hazards on and started passing people. I personally didn't care if a cop was going to see me or not. i was not going to let my daughters health be in jepordy. she is fine now and no cops stopped me.

I know in CT if you caught "street racing" or however the cop wants to put it you wont be driving your car home. It will be towed and you'll be riding back with him and have a nice fine and 90 day suspension of your license, and thats for a 1st offense. Believe me I know I've been to 4 driver retraining classes in 5 years and I'll me miserably attending my 5th in the next month. Ugh it's my own fault though, too careless.
