When they do that with people, it's called a zombie.

Don't make comments unless you know what you're talking about, because you'll just end up looking stupid- like in this case.

The GTO is not American-made. The GTO is a rebadged Holden Monaro, which is AUSTRALIAN. Nice try.

Not to mention, the GTO has better interior quality than the STi, and it's FASTER. The only things the STi have over the GTO are handling and a weight advantage.

Japan doesn't even make ANYTHING that will come close to touching either a C5 Corvette or a C6 Corvette, and a standard C5 isn't blistering fast.

But, you're the expert, so we'll all just listen to you.

Bah, 2 come to mind right off the bat. Toyota Supra and Acura NSX. But, out of the 3 in this thread though, the Z doesn't stand a chance with the new Vette. The other 2 would hold their own with it. I'm not going to argue the performance of the new Vette simply because you can't really, the car speaks for itself.

As for the C5 Vette, I spanked a couple of those with my Talon. Never ran a C6 though.

But I digress, we're talking about Subarus not Eagles.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

NSX isn't produced anymore (although a new one is in the works).

The new Z06 is def a world class supercar, a bit more crude than it's Europeon rivals, but fast nonetheless.

I'm not a big GTO, Vauxhall/Holden Monaro, Chevy Lumia SS Coupe (whatever you want to call it) fan. The car never really shined in any particular category, and really was just kind of bland... prob why it never sold well and is discontinued for 07.

The 350Z is nice, but I like the G35 coupe better. Word has it the G35/350Z is being produced as a Nissan Skyline GTR for the 08 model year (I think 08) with a twin turbo V6.

GTO faster than an STI? Car and Driver gives the GTO a 0-6 of 4.8 and a 1/4 mile of 13.3 @ 107. The STI 0-60 in 4.9 and a 1/4 mile of 13.4 @ 102... dosen't seem like a huge difference to me.

The only thing the STI has over the GTO is handling and weight advantage? Because handling dosen't mean anything right? What about AWD, and a body that dosen't look like a Caviler with hood scoops. What about a 2007 model, does the GTO have that? Higher MPG, 4 doors, anything else?

Touche.

I wish that Toyota would come out with just some total ass kicking Supra.

To bad it would more than likely look retarded. Never know though.

I think I may have read something about them bringing it back. Or not. Wow, now I can't remember. I thought it was going to have something to do w/ when the 350Z comes out in 08 as the Skyline and how Toyota was getting tired of not having a "Roadster" out there anymore.

I'll go back through my magazines later tonight or tomorrow night and find it.

The Toyota Supra ran mid 13s stock (on a good day), while the NSX ran nearly the same. The C5 Corvette would consistently run in the very low 13s. Some have been known to tickle the high 12s in stock trim.

I'm not one to "magazine race," but there were a ton of magazines that tested the C5 Vs. the NSX and the C5 won most of those bouts. As for the C6, it's just one badass machine. Car & Driver just tested a C6 Z06 Vs. Ferrari 430 Vs. Porsche 997TT and it outshined them all. I find it funny that it came in last place because of the interior. What were they testing, luxury cars? No matter how good the Vette is, it will always get dissed by the automotive critics. It's a good thing I don't purchase cars based on what those jackasses say.
