I think it looks hideous. I really love my bugeye, but if thats what they are gonna come out with, well I am thinking I like the look of the new Lancer.

Plus can't beat that warranty they are offering either.

I like the look of the new skyline, but the $70,000 and up price tag makes me sick in my stomach..

I hadn't heard about the concept Evo. Did the concept have an actual DSG or just electro-hydraulics hooked up to a slushbox?

Gearboxes are one area where the Japanese can't seem to catch up to the Germans. Maybe this is it?

Edit: Mechanically, the all-wheel-drive Evo X will likely pack a 2.0-liter, 300-hp turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a six-speed Automatic Direct Select Gear clutchless transmission, or a traditional six-speed close-ratio manual transmission.

Well, dayuum! Mitsu doin' it right! But the Subie that's in the AutoWeek link, I think I could live with.

Subaru is going to a hatch for the STi because they need a more competitve platform for WRC. With tiny cars like the 206, focus, etc, subaru was falling behind. The hatch is actually supposed to smaller than the present model. It's supposed to be based off a shortened legacy chassis. And subaru will not offer a sedan or coupe version STi because why would they. The STi was never about pleasing the broad market. They'll offer one version and if not everyone likes it, that's fine. The WRX on the other hand may have more options.

As far as the EVO goes, I do like the way it looks. Although it kills me to say it. However, mark my words, that paddle tranny will suck unless it's a complete rip-off of the DSG. Even super car companies have a hard time doing a good sequential gearbox. Ferrari is really the only one to do it right so far. Reviews of the lambos, mercs, etc all say that they have way too many probs.

I second that. The body looks like an Audi, but the side mirrors like the VW. Or Its the Audi's but without the turn signals on the mirrors.

so this is an old picture.

^^^ Take off the masking and they'd probably look fairly close. Although the one with the masking is probably just an Impreza, not a WRX. I'm hoping they'll do something to make the STi a bit beefier/sporty looking. I wouldn't mind the wagon so much if they just made it look sporty. I like coupes, hatches, and sedans. Wagons usually aren't my thing unless they look really good. The only wagon I like right now is the Audi A3/S3 really, but even then, I like the 2-door hatch version better.

I agree with dmitri.... How flippin lame!

Man am I glad I bought mine this year. The loss of the coupe was heartbraking enough. Nothing sexier than the old 2.5RS, but losing the sedan???! What are they thinking.
I think the car is hideous in all pictures posted here. Its had a headlight similar to that of an Acura. Yuck!
