Ever more so than the Subies since they are DI'd. A bit more of a maintainence whore. Good cars though.

Put it this way, your Gen2 can actually outflow the stock fuel pump internals with just an intake.... lol

Easily remedied though.

Nope just plain Jane silver for me. So I bought the car with a Cobb SRI. I believe everything else is stock. Any way to tell if its been tuned? The exhaust is pretty loud and says mazdaspeed so I'm not sure if this is stock or aftermarket. Car runs mint, no sputtering or idle issues. It's a one owner car with 19k on it. Any help would be great.

There are only 2 tuning solutions to the Speed. The AP and a Hypertech. Don't know many with the HT. So unless it came with it, probably not.

You need to get an AP soon for sure.

No Blaze, I have a Cosmic Blue.

Well Its gonna be a little bit before I can drop $600 on an AP. And I don't have a stock air box. Can I still drive it normally for a while? Like I said earlier the car runs great right now but I don't want my motor to shit the bed either.

so stock its not even funny...just kinda sad :(

Should be ok.... Since you have no way to monitor it "Meh"....

The one thing to monitor is the fuel pressure.... I've seen 11's and 12's drop pressure from just an intake.

Go over to MSF.org and make an intro thread. Shoot me a PM or whatever and I can line you up with some toilet literature.
