Z1 Star Spec's fitting larger sizes?

I found this good deal online;

Dunlop Direzza DZ101 - Free Shipping | TireBuyer.com

I was wondering if that size tire would fit my 06 WRX TR or is it to wide? I eventually want to upgrade my wheels, but keep the 17" sizing and maybe go 8" wide instead of the 7.5" of the stock wheels.

Thanks for the help!

ps. I'll take alternative suggestions for tires

I had the exact same size, but a different brand (225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus) of tires on my stock 07 WRX wheels for several years and they fit perfectly with stock fenders and suspension, so those should work too.

I was looking at the Pilot Sports also. I saw the same exact tires size one with SL and the other with XL designations, what exactly do those mean and how does it affect the tire on the car?

Do you think the price is a good deal for those Star Specs?

Those aren't Star Specs. They aren't in the same category and are poorly rated.

DZ101's are terrible tires. Star specs have a star on them:

and your stock wheels are 17x7" not 17x7.5". Can they run 225/45R17? Yes, yes they can.
