i was starting to wonder about the rota comment. you will find some really cheap again let me repeast that. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND SOME REALLY CHEAP USED WHEELS FOR $350. xrims.com usually have wheels around your price range. Please just dont throw the first set of wheels you find on your car. wheels can make or break a car.

Gucci, Kidd was just giving his opinion and that was your original question in the first place... Even getting yur stockers painted (professionally) would be 400.00 or so. I forgot, 18 year olds think rims are the world anyways...... There is more to this than just looks.

ok any one else that doesnt want to clutter and has some advice?

I went back to the wheel shop today and I am looking at a pair of Urban Racing wheels they are the type 8 Black ones. here is a link to them. this is a straight trade my stock for these and keep rubber since i have about 80% left i cant justify to my dad for getting new rubber to.

TYPE 8 By URBAN RACING - MANUFACTURER OF THE FINEST LIGHTWEIGHT RACING WHEELS ON EARTH

I highly recommend you get wheels with 48-53mm of offset to match the stock suspension geometry.

Cheap, good rims:
Sport Edition CD Silver Painted
$99 each, 21.5lbs each for 17x7.5 and the offset is a usable 48mm

O.Z. Ultraleggera Bright Silver Paint
These are lighter and wider but they cost more... again 48mm offset.

You definitely need to match the offset. Good catch mosc! I think that I would hold out on the rims for now man. I know that rims are the end all be all in HS, but you could hold on to those wheels and tires and then when you need new rubber, you can go in and get a solid set of tires and wheels that you like instead of something that is cheap. I vote that you do it that way. That way you can get a better wheel and a better tire, because if you buy wheels now, it will be harder to justify new wheels when it is time to buy new, better rubber. You said in another post that you wanted to do it right, so IMO that is the "right" way to do it.

I actually like the stockers better than the wheels you posted. Save up and get something that will turn heads. (If that is what you are going for)

P.S. I miss my Superleggeras. Nice wheels mosc. I had those on my red 02 wagon in gold!

Well to start off, the wrong offset and the wheel wont even fit on the car. There is more to it, but unfortunately Im tryig to learn about it now.

Quit harassing my intelligence then. Don't say attack my knowledge then when you realize you are wrong and I am right tell me to #### off.

I told you i didn't want to clutter the thred and to PM me if you have a problem so that point is moot as well.

I gave you a dose of reality and you didn't like it, so you attack me.

This forum is going further and further down hill towards NASIOC status.

Thanks Mosc and Pzr for actually seeing the info in my post.

Gucci I highly advise you don't mouth off to moderators... Search a little bit about offset. Your question has been answered a ton of times on this board.

Those wheels are ugly btw.

Wow, good question! It's too bad nobody ever made a thread that answered questions like that. Even if they did, they'd never sticky it in some useful place like the handling forum, would they?

Well actually I did so here:
