Want to go lower

I want to get a set of lowering springs. I have an 06 WRX and want to know what the best type of springs would be to go with. I dont want to slam it at all I just want something for a little more handling. I was thinking about 2.0 in the front and about 1.5 or 1.7 in the rear. I also dont want a camber problem with the car either. Thanks alot for all the input....L8R

Tein S-tech springs will give you the desired drop and are affordable. IMO, it's mainly for looks with the WRX, handling does not make a HUGE difference. If you're looking for handling improvements, sway bars and end links is a good place to start.

Check out Cobbs springs. Supposedly they work with the stock struts also.

I have Cobb's. I love them. I also just put 245's on the car, and they fit perfectly under the wheel well.

I was thinking about a few things. I still have yet to get the springs. I want to do this right and take some time out for it. I was thinking about camber and alignment after reading a thread on here and would like to ask everybody that lowered their cars what heights everyone went with and also the camber that anyone got from the lowering and also the alignment that anyone had to get done to their car after all the work. Anymore help would be greatly appreciated..Thanks..L8R

It depends on the springs you get. Cobb makes good parts, and a company called Prodrive are suppossed to make springs that are good for the WRX. A guy i talked to said he didnt need any alignment, but i know alot of people do after lowering their car. Also be aware that the lowered springs will put extra stress on your shocks because of the height difference(stock springs vs. lowered)

You need to get an alignment regardles, but the camber should not need adjusting, unless you do a serious drop. But it all realy depends on how well the springs&struts matchup.

Most of the time, I only have my kids in the back seat. But I do take people from work to lunch in my car [4 people] and when I autocross, I am am loaded down going to/from the event: extra set of wheels with slicks, jack, stands, tools, etc.
