Using RS Suspension in a WRX

Hey, i'm a car guy but new to subaru's so please bare with me.....

I bought a 02 WRX hit in the front end and i want to fix it... I have an 03 RS that i can some get parts from, for free so i want to make them work cause my only other options are to buy from $$$Subaru$$$.

I need to replace the left front corner. I see that the spindles are the same but supposedly the lower control arm is different and so is the strut. I'm guessing the strut is just not as stiff of a spring.
Anyone know what would make the lower control arm different and can i make it work?

If i have to use the RS strut, i'd use the RS ones on both sides. Other then effecting the ride a bit (assuming it's not as stiff) does anyone know of any other issues that it could cause (yes an allignment will be done).... Also, do you think it will effect the height much?

I think performance wise it will differ. Youll probably want to get both sides replaced with the same part. I think it will fit though man, and the fenders I beleieve are exactly the same. ( I Dont know about the bugeye models much though)
