Steering rack bushings...

Hey has anyone installed the whiteline...or any brand steering rack bushings?? I hear it gives your steering the feel of the evo. which is a good thing.
my buddy has them on his STI and i have yet to drive it to see. but he said it makes it feel like an evo with how much more responsive it is. he said and i quote "it's like driving a gokart with the solid connection you feel with your steering wheel to the wheels on the ground"

and i like that idea. less mushyness and more direct feel.

if anyone has driven a car with performance steering rack bushings, or has em please let me know i am interested in buying a set.

Wow I haven't heard any one talk about this mod in a while.
Yes I have them and they work great, much better feel and for 30-40 bucks I reccomened them to everyone. The only thing is they are a bit of a PITA to install, it helps if you have an extra hand. It's a very tight fit.

You have to unbolt the steering rack, once you do that you will free up a very little bit of room. Again an extra set of hands will help even if they only move the steering rack around so you can wiggle the bushings in. One is easier than the other ( I can't remember which one ) make sure you use plenty of the supplied grease and just follow the directions. It's not that hard to install, just a PITA

i have it, good cheap mod with a more direct feel to the steering. won't make you feel like you're driving an evo though, you'll need a quicker ratio steering rack for that

I have them too. I didn't find the install that hard though, just took about 30 minutes. Highly recommend them though for $30.

Good mod but a major PITA to install. I forgot which side was the real BIATCH but read the tutorials on it.
