I'm about to do mine this weekend. I've got the hightemp engine paint, primer, and clear code. I really like the way the stockers look gold. I can't wait.

Looks pretty dang good man! Let us no how the paint holds up to those salty roads and repeated cleaning.

Nice job Longshot, looks real good. I've been putting this off but now I have no other choice, gotta hop on this bandwagon.

What kinda of and how much sanding did you have to do?

I love the way it came out. Looks great in person. I sanded it with 330 grit sandpaper just to enough to get the surface rough for the primer to stick to it. Took about 5-7min per wheel for a good sanded once over. Then 1 good coat of primer, 3 coats of paint, and 2 clear coats. Here's a few more pics:

Very nice, congrats. I like it myself. Hopefully, I can find the time to do this soon. It's gotten cold on Long Island so it's a bit rough. But Stockers could really use this make over. Considering I spent so much on my motor and tune that I can't afford rims right now.

Thanks, I can't really afford rims right now also, so paint was much cheaper. And of course I decided to do it the morning after sliding around in the new fallen snow, i.e. the car was filthy. Oh well I'm happy

The gloss is nicer. I've seen the flat and it's way to dull IMO

Sand your wheels until the surface is rough
1 can of primer (1 coat)
2 cans of colored wheel paint or high temp automotive paint (2-3 coats)
1 can clear coat (1-2 coats)

Paint, prime, and clearcoat in about 15-20 min intervals
