new car plus money to spend

got a 2011 wrx premium sedan and im currently in afganistan. ive been going back and forth from spending money on suspension (rce race bisteins combo) or all on power. i do plan to do an open sorce tune so its not that pricey. or i can do alittle of both power and handeling. i like a neutral feeling car that can corner. i have about 1500 that i want to spend. trying to stay to that budget.

several options i can think of.

rce springs plus shocks plus rear 22 adj sway bar around 1500 and stg 1 tp tune

or rce blacks stock shocks plus brake bracket and other odds and ends and stg 1 tp tune or

cobb intake, downpipe sway bar in rear, some bushings or rce black springs and stg 2 tp tune.

im already working on replacinf shifter with kartboy and bushings and open sourse tune. but have 1500 more to spend, what are your inputs and ideas. what would you do.

If you have $1,500 to spend I would do a downpipe and tune ($450+), then sways and endlinks ($500ish), and then a good set of summer tires to swap out the oem tires with ($600+)... You can sell the OEM tires and even wheels if you want to save some budget (-a few hundred for tires, several for tires and wheels).

been looking at tires and am lost . so many options. i have had hankook v12s on a 2011 mustang before, they didnt seem to bad. and are cheap for these cars.

V12's will be fine if you don't auto-x it. They tend to roll easily

okay what has a better sideway

More will chime in

BFG KDW or, if your like me and did the full on retard mode, a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's will do wonders, but mind you those aren't cheap.

i had gy eagle f1 supercars on a car before, they wernt that bad really, great tire but pricey.

svtfever 10-07-2012 03:32 PM

i wonder if i only wanted to change either sways or tires, one or the other, what route would you take if you had to choose one way

Great tire in the dry and rain, but we get snow up here and I think they got a -1 star rating on that....:D

TN gets snow? Am I the only one on here that doesn't get yellow sno-cones?

also the cobb intake, i know it does little even if its tuned, but want more intake noise. does a stage 2 tune with downpipe increase turbo spool noise with the added psi from the tune? without the intake. i know there are no silensors on the 11's

snow/too much rain = no bueno for a CAI....
