coilover question

Might sound like a stupid question but my front strut is basically dead. So my friend has a pair of tein ss for just the front. He said he'd sell me them cheap but is it possible to work with stock struts in the back and the tein in the front?

oldfartracer is more helpful than not
Anything is possible, but should it be done, NO.
The spring rate will be different, the dampening will be different, even the height will be different. This sounds like it could lead to your next post, I just wrecked my car.

lol true that, yea that is not a good idea to do that, i think you should either go buy a stock replacement or fork over some money and do all 4 corners. Also its really never a good idea to replace just one strut either you really want to do those in pairs and then go get a really nice alignment done on the car.
